Dracula

Picture
Rich with horror and thrills, this new adaptation is based on the classic legend of Transylvania’s famous vampire, Dracula. It brings to life the suspense, seduction, and wickedly theatrical picture of Bram Stoker’s classic novel to the stage. Our story begins as the profoundly evil Count Dracula travels to London in search of rejuvenation and to exert his will upon its residents.  Professor Van Helsing and his brave comrades struggle to piece together the clues of his appearances in an attempt to stop him from taking new victims, thus saving London from a hideous fate.  Dracula’s fascinating physic powers draw you and our heroes into his perfect plan, testing everyone’s morality. With classic characters such as Renfield, Dr. Seward, Jonathan Harker, Dracula’s Brides and more, we embark on this terrifying adventure to reveal Dracula’s true identity before the sun sets for good. In this lavish production with twists and turns at every corner, the real question is this: will you get sucked into to the legend and will you believe…will you believe in things you cannot?

**The Production is rated PG-13 and may not be suitable for younger students.**

Newsies

Picture
Stop the presses! It’s time to “Carry the Banner” with Disney’s Newsies!  Set in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of a charismatic newsboy, Jack Kelly, and his ragtag team of “newsies.”  But when the price of “papes” is hiked and the newsies are hung out to dry, there is nothing left to do but strike! Led by Jack and independent reporter Katherine Plummer, the newsies form a union and organize a strike.  Can a group of idealist newsies win against a foe as greedy and powerful as the acclaimed publisher of the New York World, Joseph Pulitzer?  Inspired by the true story of the 1899 Newsboy Strike and based on the 1992 Disney motion picture, Newsies features a Tony Award winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman with a funny, poignant book by Harvey Fierstein.  Newsies is an enthusiastic, joyful, and entertaining musical capturing the strength young people have when they join together and stand up against injustice.  With non-stop thrills and a timeless message, this fun-loving musical will inspire everyone to fight for what’s right and “Seize the Day!
