Mr. Jim Dersch

Musical Director

Jim attended UofL for a double music performance and was an adjunct musician with the LO for 11 years. He has previously been seen music directing and playing for Trinity High School, IUS, AYUTC, AAC, Bunbury Theatre, Collegiate, Center Stage, Louisville Ballet, and the Thompson St. Opera Co among others. Some particularly memorable music directing credits include Beauty and the Beast, Chicago, Rocky Horror, Shrek, and now: Newsies! Jim also has his share of acting and dance credits including shows at MTL, Derby Dinner Playhouse, Stage One, and CLT. Some favorite credits include Beauty & the Beast, Peter Pan, West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, YAGMCB, and Canticle II: Abraham & Isaac.
